Said to be the finest city of the Islamic world, Isfahan is known as "half of the world". This city's sites are filled with blue mosaic tilework.

In the courtyard of the Shah Abbas Hotel, in Isfahan, and one of the nicest hotels in the country. The hotel was one giant square with this courtyard in its center.

Imam Square (aka Naqsh-e Jahan Square, meaning "pattern of the world"), containing some of world's most elegant Islamic buildings. It is also the second largest square on earth -- second only to China's Tiananmen Square.
